Iowa Administrative Code, Chapter 3, Personnel Administration, contains the rules governing the Regents merit system. For staff grievances the University has elected to use the procedure found in the Iowa Administrative Code, Chapter 12, [681]12.9(262) in appropriate cases rather than rule [681]3.129(8A). The majority of merit staff members are also covered by collective bargaining agreements which take precedence over Regents merit system regulations. (Refer to the current agreement for applicable procedures.)
