10.12 Protection of the Respondent

  1. This policy shall not be used to bring knowingly false charges. Bringing such a charge constitutes a violation of this policy, and may subject the complaining party to remedial and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination or separation from the University. Any such disciplinary action will be initiated by the appropriate administrator overseeing the complainant(s).
  2. In the event the allegations are not substantiated, the respondent may consult with the investigating office to discuss possible steps to address the restoration of the reputation of the respondent.
