3.8 Protection of the Respondent
- This policy shall not be used to bring knowingly false or malicious allegations. Making such allegations may subject the complaining party to sanctions up to and including termination or separation from the University. Any such action will be initiated by the appropriate administrator overseeing the complainant(s).
- In the event the allegations are not substantiated, reasonable steps will be taken to restore the reputation of the respondent if it was damaged by the proceeding. The respondent may consult with the investigating office regarding reasonable steps to address such concerns.
